Briefing on the current state of affairs of the 3rd International Water Conference
On May 26, 2024 at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Kuwait with the participation of the Representative of the UN Secretary General in the country of residence Mrs. Ghada Hatim Eltahir a briefing on the current state of affairs of the 3rd High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 was held.
The head of diplomatic mission of the Republic of Tajikistan Zubaydzoda Zubaydullo and the UN representative made speeches at the briefing.
During the conference, the Ambassador gave brief information on the UN Water Conference in 2024 and informed the participants about the global initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan honorable Emomali Rahmon in the field of water, especially the International Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018 – 2028.
The Permanent representative of the UN in the State of Kuwait, in turn, spoke about the importance of the Water Conference and its ideas, and praised the successful co-chairing of the Republic of Tajikistan in the preparation for this Conference.
The role of partner countries such as the State of Kuwait was also emphasized in the briefing.
The briefing was held with the presence of a wide range of mass media representatives and information bases of the State of Kuwait.
