On 20 March on the eve of the historic UN 2023 Water Conference and within the framework of the New York Water Week, with the performance of Tajik classical music, the House of Water, a platform for holding and localizing water-related events, began its work.
New York Water Week and the House of Water platform are organized on the sidelines of the UN 2023 Water Conference to increase information sharing, connect with international stakeholders, raise awareness, demonstrate ambition and trigger action. From 20 to 25 March 2023, more than 25 events are planned at the House of Water, focusing on three themes, including water innovation and business, sustainable cities, youth and education.
Within the framework of this platform, during the week, the topics of water are animated by the hosts and organizers of programs that show the importance of water from the point of view of youth and education, science, innovation, business, culture and art. Thus, New York Water Week and Water House form a localized application in addition to existing multi-stakeholder discussions within the forthcoming UN Water Conference.
At the opening ceremony of the House of Water, representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan took part under the leadership of Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Water and Climate Coalition Leaders.
