On 15 February 2023, in Jakarta, the President of Indonesia H. E. Joko Widodo received members of the Governing Board of the World Water Council, as well as the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Water and Climate Coalition.

At the meeting, the participants discussed issues of preparation for the 10th World Water Forum, which will be held on 18-24 May 2024 in Bali, as well as the promotion of water issues at the global level.
The President of the World Water Council, Loic Fauchon, informed the President of Indonesia about the preparations for the Forum in Bali and thanked him and the Government of Indonesia for the work done and the support provided in organizing this important Forum.
The President of Indonesia, in turn, expressed the commitment of the Government of the country to promoting the water issue at various levels and the country’s readiness to hold the 10th Forum at a high level. The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Water and Climate Coalition, Sulton Rahimzoda, informed the President of Indonesia about the preparations for the UN 2023 Water Conference, which will be held from 22 to 24 March 2023. in New York under the chairmanship of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and stressed the importance of the participation of leaders with their commitments.
In this context, he noted the active participation of Indonesia in the preparatory process of the Conference and invited President Widodo to personally attend this historic meeting in New York.
