Only a few days remain before the UN Water Conference, which will be held from 22 to 24 March in New York. Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as co-chairs of this important international event, are making every effort to attract various stakeholders both for active participation and for their commitment to accelerate action to achieve water goals and objectives.

As part of this participation in the Round Table on Water Finance, the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Water and Climate Coalition Leaders, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, held a number of meetings with the Heads and representatives of some international organizations located in Geneva. In this context, it was noted that the Dushanbe Water Process could provide a good opportunity and platform for reporting and monitoring the implementation of the Water Action Agenda, which includes the commitments made under the Conference.
The meetings also discussed issues of preparation for the “International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation, 2025”.
The need to bring together the efforts of stakeholders and prepare a Roadmap covering events and actions to advance this initiative was noted.
