On 10 November 2022 on the sidelines of COP 27, a bilateral meeting was held between the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, and the UN Assistant Secretary-General, Coordinator of the Secretariat of the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement, Ms. Gerda Verburg.
The parties discussed the achievement of internationally agreed water targets for improved nutrition.
During the meeting, the parties also raised the issue of including water in the official program and outcome documents of COP 27 and noted the need to link these two global agendas and involve all sectors and stakeholders in this process.
